improve your mental health

This course is for women who identify as having mental health difficulties and/or emotional distress and would like to work on improving their wellbeing. The course will provide the opportunity to meet other women, share experiences and coping strategies, and support each other.

The focus will be on things you can do yourself to improve your mental health and will include input on self-care, diet and exercise, sleep, breathing and relaxation, alternatives to self-harm, relationships and creativity. You will need to complete a short assessment with the Student Support Worker before being offered a place on this course. In the summer term, students may be invited to join a peer support group.

In partnership with Women in Prison.

This course has been INVALUABLE for me. To start a course on a Monday of this kind is just perfect. The teaching has been really supportive
